Scarlet Fever

This bike was a huge influence on me in my early days of riding.  When I first got into the scene, we met LeRoy, who was a life-time patch holder.  Being new to everything, LeRoy took us in so-to-speak, and showed us the ways of the world.

The first time I saw this bike it was black and he was running pan heads on it. The stance was perfect, as was everything else.  Through the years the bike never stayed the same very long and eventually, it ended up in this final version known as Scarlet Fever.

With failing health plaguing him, he sold it.  Later, before he passed, he told me that it was one of his life's regrets.  I never knew him without this bike and even after he sold it, it was known as LeRoy's bike

This picture doesn't do it justice.  Attention to detail was everything to LeRoy and it showed.  The paint and scroll work was incredible, and there was so many small things that caught your eye if you took time to look for them.   He did all his own motor work and most everything was handmade by him or sourced out to his club brothers, as this was a point of pride for him.

He was a talented builder and a good friend.
