Hawaiian Local Boy

As a rule I tend to shy away from re-posting stuff from other blogs but I wanted to revisit the motorcycle scene in Hawaii and show a style of bike they build there called the Local Boy that is unique to the Islands. Having missed getting any pictures of bikes from our trip back in October I didn't have anything to put up until I came across Henry Honolulu's site that shows some great examples of the Hawaiian Local Boy style. And while it's true that my tastes run more towards rigid chops, I do appreciate the attention to detail and the pride of ownership these guys put out there - not to mention that they ride the older iron and aren't afraid of tank shifts. I dig it.

These pictures came from Henry's blog (mahalo) http://hawaiianlocalboys.blogspot.com/. Check it out to see more primo bikes.
